Cycle all mixer switches in the cab to insure proper operations of all mixer functions. the 'bridge' axle must NOT be allowed to touch the ground without the axle pressure turned all the way don and wheels properly 'chocked'.
Note proper operations of cab warning buzzers
Note proper operation of mixer status indicator (warning) lights in mixer console
If equipped, heck free play and proper operation of mixer from control cable arm lever in mixer console
Exterior Pre-Check
Inspect all hydraulic hoses and fittings for rubbing, chafing, weather checking and/or leaking
Inspect water tank for leaks or abnormal surface defects (ie: rust, dents, flaking paint, etc.)
Inspect drum attachment bolts at head socket of drum for signs of wear or looseness
Inspect ALL mixer mounting frame bolts for signs of damage or looseness. When inspecting bolts for looseness, look for a "dust ring" or blackness around the head of the bolt/washer. This usually indicates a loose fastener. When checking mixer mounting frame bolts, also check any mounting clips/angles for signs of wear or damage
Inspect fenders for damage, mountings bolts, excessive material build up (ie: dried concrete, stones and rocks)
Inspect mud-flaps for damaged fasteners or signs of excessive wear
Inspect all exterior lights for proper operation (ie. side marker, tail, turn, backup and reverse
Inspect climb ladder for signs of damage, excessive wear, fasteners or corrosion
Inspect hydraulic cylinders for signs of leaks or excessive wear in the mntg bushings or bolts
Inspect bridge axle for free play side to side and tire wear
Inspect rollers to insure they are properly grease, adjusted and rotating smoothly without noise or "play"
Check all chute connection points and fasteners for damage, fatigue, stretching or cracks
Inspect rear mixer control pendant (or wireless transmitter) for prper operation of mixer functions
Inspect rear pedestal area for material build up or loose rocks and stones
